The role

Ideals has been in the Virtual Data Room space since 2008 and has built a trusted reputation with clients across multiple industries in Europe, including Orcan Energy, E-Gruppe, Deloitte, and EY.

To support the next stage of Ideals VDR's growth in the DACH region, we are looking for our first Account Executive (Business Development Associate) based in Vienna. Joining our DACH Key Accounts team in Austria, you will focus on high-value target accounts - building the kind of relationships that turn prospects into long-term customers.

As a front-line, quota-carrying team member, you will actively reach out to 30-40 new customers each month and oversee a pipeline of 50+ opportunities to close deals. Engaging proactively with key account decision-makers across Finance, Banking, and other sectors, you will contribute directly to our growth story in Austria.

Compensation package: 50% base salary; 50% performance-based variable, uncapped.

What you will do

• Own the full sales cycle in Austria, from self-generated pipeline to closed deals

• Deliver sales targets by focusing on new customer acquisition

• Create and develop new opportunities through cold outreach, networking, events, and in-person meetings

• Build relationships with decision-makers across financial institutions, advisory firms, and other strategic Austrian accounts

• Consistently share insights and provide updates to customers

• Take part in arranging M&A Community events, enhancing Ideals visibility

• Provide relevant customer feedback to the product development and management teams

• Collaborate with Customer Success and Commercial Sales to grow customer satisfaction and the company’s revenue

What you bring

• 1.5+ years of demonstrable success in direct sales or business development within B2B or professional services sector

• Experience in high-velocity sales environments and effectively engaging with decision-makers

• Clear evidence of hunter mentality

• A track record of successfully generating and managing pipelines and closing high-value deals

• Exceptional business communication skills to structure persuasive pitches and navigate client discovery

• Full professional proficiency in English (C1) and native-level fluency in German

• Based in Berlin or within a realistic commuting distance for in-person client meetings

Nice to have

• Background in SaaS, fintech, financial services, information security, or other high-trust B2B industries

• Exposure to selling into financial or advisory environments

• Additional European language
