Product Owner: Payments Experience

The Role

To fuel the next stage of our growth journey, Ziina is expanding our world-class Product team: We’re looking for a Payments Experience Product Owner to own the customer’s experience when sending and receiving payments. You'll sit at the core of the most critical part of the Ziina app, defining priorities, identifying opportunities, scoping work, and shipping 10 star experiences that move the needle for our users every single day.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You'll be deep in the product yourself, talking to users, defining behaviors and shaping features. We are looking for someone not afraid to try new approaches that delight our customers, always based on first principles thinking.

As a Product Owner at Ziina you will:

• Define your team's roadmap and success metrics to align with company goals. Monitor results frequently and adjust strategies accordingly.

• Understand your customers inside out and stay close to how people actually behave. Run research, watch sessions, dig into the data, and turn insights into product decisions.

• Design and implement experiments, initiatives and features from inception to launch by conducting analyses, benchmarking, putting together hypotheses and requirements and working closely with design and engineering teams to develop, launch and iterate the initiative.

• Be creative and ambitious: propose bold ideas and create new concepts, always grounded in first principle thinking, your user persona and JTBD. You are biased to create new solutions and not re-implement established recipes.

• Build a culture of fast iteration with a quick and efficient turnaround of designing and shipping new experiences in an iterative and automated way, harnessing the best AI tools.

• Work alongside top-skilled people in the industry, collaborating closely with every function, including engineering, design, marketing, fincrime and operations, to align product goals with overall business objectives.

Key skills and characteristics

• You have 2–4 years of experience in a high-growth tech company or in a banking/finance-related area such as acquiring, payments, cryptocurrency, or trading.

• You have a higher-education degree in a STEM field, with strong analytical and technical acumen.

• You have strong empathy for users and are eager to go into the field, conduct user research, and run user testing.

• You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you’ve founded something, shipped your own product, or taken initiative to put a solution in front of real users.

• You have a track record of leading product development from scratch, ideally in ambiguous or zero-to-one environments.

• You use strong business judgment to prioritize based on impact, ROI, and what matters most to users and the business.

• You are comfortable creating order out of ambiguity, questioning assumptions, applying first-principles thinking, and using AI and automation tools to deliver more with less.

• You live in, or are willing to move to, the UAE.

What would amaze us

• Excellent SQL skills and proficiency in conducting deep analyses.

• Familiarity with Figma and design principles.
