About the Role

Veeam is expanding its Federal go-to-market strategy in advance of FedRAMP authorization, targeted by the end of calendar year 2026. The Principal Systems Engineer, Federal will serve as Veeam’s Federal Principal Technologist, acting as a technical evangelist and trusted advisor across the U.S. Public Sector.

This is not a traditional presales role. Operating ahead of the pipeline, you will engage agency executives, policy leaders, systems integrators, industry partners, analysts, and media to build technical credibility and cultivate champions who will help accelerate demand as Veeam’s federal business scales. Success in this role requires deep expertise in data protection, cyber resilience, and security, along with the executive presence to influence CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and mission leaders.

As the public face of Veeam’s federal technology strategy, you will evangelize the company’s four strategic pillars: Data Resilience, Cyber Resilience, Data & AI Trust, and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM). You will translate Veeam’s platform vision and DataAI Command Platform into compelling narratives that resonate with civilian, DoD, and intelligence community stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Data Resilience, Cyber Resilience, Data and AI Trust & DSPM

This role requires deep expertise across Veeam’s four strategic pillars: Data Resilience, Cyber Resilience, Data & AI Trust, and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), along with a strong understanding of the federal compliance landscape. You can credibly connect FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust requirements to modern data protection, immutability, ransomware recovery, cyber resilience, and DSPM capabilities, helping agencies understand the path to stronger security and operational resilience.

Equally important, you bring a clear point of view on Data & AI Trust in government, recognizing that resilient, well-governed data is foundational to successful AI adoption. You can translate that perspective into compelling content, thought leadership, and executive conversations that influence federal technology, security, and policy leaders.
