Terac is building the infrastructure for accessing human capability on demand. We are working toward a future where Terac deeply understands:

With this understanding, Terac can intelligently allocate human capability to the work where it creates the most value for both our experts and customers. Today, our initial wedge is providing specialized experts for AI training, evaluation, market research, and other expert-driven research.

This future was not previously possible. Understanding people and work at this depth required more information and judgment than any organization could reasonably process. As a result, the labor market came to rely on crude proxies: résumés, credentials, applications, interviews, and personal networks. At Terac, we're changing this by making it possible to synthesize thousands of signals about a person’s knowledge, performance, preferences, and potential while developing an equally detailed understanding of the work itself.

We place 1,000s of experts per month, pay our experts, on average, over $90/hr. We're a team of 15 based in San Francisco, and we work with many leading research companies.

About the role

Today, Terac's projects team handles over 50 projects per month across 25+ clients. You will strategically focus on how we build our network to support the next 1,000 projects. You will partner directly with the CEO and Head of Projects to shape and scale the expert side of the marketplace. This is the consumer side of our marketplace and required unique understanding of targeting and growing communities in different niches.

You're someone who thrives in ambiguity, has exceptional judgment, and can context-switch between strategic planning, tactical execution, and people operations.

You will:

• Run expert acquisition: build and run marketing campaigns 24/7 that are targeting the highest-leverage domain experts we need at any given moment through ads, our referral network, event marketing, or any other method you can dream up.

• Be rigorously data-driven: You will manage a 7-figure budget and be tasked with acquiring millions of experts. It's vital we make informed decisions.

• Build Terac's credibility: Between running our socials, engaging in Reddit/Discord communities, organizing roundtables, and being active in a dedicated Slack with our top experts it will be your job to drive credibility to the Terac brand and make being a Terac expert a sought after title.

• Event marketing: we host monthly dinners for AI researchers, our top experts, and hackathons for our power users. You will travel across the country and the world representing Terac to the expert community.

You have:

• Proven experience in GTM, outbound sales, or growth roles

• Demonstrated success owning pipelines and delivering results at scale

• Strong familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, Sales Navigator, and similar tools

• Strong judgment and ability to prioritize under pressure

You likely have experience in:

• Growth or strategy at early stage or high growth startups.

• Exposure to marketplaces, platforms, or two-sided businesses.

• Compensation: Competitive salary, meaningful equity vested over four years, $10K relocation bonus (for moving to the Bay Area), and an additional $5k housing bonus (if you move within 0.5 miles of our office), Health, Dental, Vision insurance, 401(k) with company match
