Our main Engineering challenges at Teads
- Build efficient and easy-to-use web products used by thousands of users working for the world’s most premium publishers, advertisers, and agencies.
- Rich and diverse tech stack and system architecture to optimize for performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency. We use mostly Scala and TypeScript, among others.
- Working in a very high-traffic environment (2.2 billion users per month, 100 billion events per day) with low latency and high availability constraints (2 million requests per second, responses in less than 150 milliseconds).
- Management of large datasets with milliseconds order of magnitude access time, to compute in a near real-time complex auction resolution algorithm (18 million predictions per second).
- A fast-changing environment where we continuously collaborate with Product teams and constantly adapt our Cloud infrastructure for new features and Products.
- Bring a wide diversity of profiles to the same level of quality and knowledge
- Work in an international environment with offices located in Israel, Slovenia and France.
Our Demand Platform team
You'll join the Demand Platform team at Teads, a group of 12 engineers (9 seniors, 2 juniors) organized in lanes. Our mission is straightforward: make the people around us dramatically more effective. That means Sellers closing deals faster, Account Managers spending time on strategy rather than busywork, and Campaign Managers freed from repetitive tasks.
We also own the Teads Ad Manager (TAM), our one-stop shop for traders. TAM is used by 5,000+ Agencies and Advertisers to run premium campaigns with significant budgets, so reliability, data integrity, and security are not negotiable. The scope is broad: campaign setup, monitoring, reporting, user management, and the integrations that tie them together.
What we work on
We're shifting from "tools that humans operate" to "systems that operate alongside humans." A growing share of our work is building AI assistants and orchestrated agents that eliminate redundant steps, smooth out end-to-end user journeys, and turn what used to be 30-minute workflows into 30-second ones. Alongside this, we design and evolve distributed systems, event-driven, domain-driven, with batch processing where it fits, that let us decouple services and keep the platform evolving without rewrites.
How we work
Engineering partners tightly with Product. Roadmap initiatives don't arrive as tickets; they arrive as problems we shape together into technical designs, execution plans, and measurable outcomes. Architecture reviews, design validation, and pairing on hard problems are part of the rhythm. Seniors mentor juniors. We aimed to be true engineers, those who solve problems with the right tools at 360°, from the technical design to the point where the project’s OKRs are met.
What will you do?
As a Senior Software Engineer, your mission will be to:
- Collaborate with a variety of teams to develop complex services.
- Create, design, develop, test, and monitor your code in production autonomously and reliably.
- Work with the Engineering Manager, Product Manager and UIUX team to frame projects and be accountable for their execution.
- Obtain a good understanding of the business to provide relevant solutions to clients.
- Be a work facilitator and help communication inside and outside Teads.
- Stay up-to-date on new technologies and architectures. If they can solve a problem Teads has, propose ways to implement them into our current software engineering process.
What will you bring to the team?
- Good programming abilities. Testing your code is second nature to you. You are mindful of your application’s architecture, performance, maintainability, and overall quality.
- Your AI routines to speed up.
- Solid background in Front-End and API development with their design patterns.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. You are an active listener and a dialogue facilitator, you know how to explain your decision and like sharing your knowledge.
- Your shipping experience.
- Production knowledge and practices (Release, Observability, Troubleshooting, …), thanks to multiple shipped projects / applications. Strong problem-solving skills.
