Branch Operating Standards Lead
Apply on company siteSalmon is a technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines. 7M+ app downloads. 2M+ monthly active users. US$310M+ raised from top-tier investors.
This role sits with Salmon Bank (Rural Bank) Inc., the banking arm of Salmon Group Ltd and a technology-driven challenger bank operating under a BSP license. We combine the trust of a licensed institution with the speed and convenience of a modern financial product.
Work within regulated financial infrastructure, where product, risk, compliance, operations, technology, and customer experience are closely connected.
If you want to own reliable financial systems at speed, take on real operational complexity, and help raise banking standards across an entire nation, come build with us.
About the role
You'll own the operating standard for how our branches run — the playbook, the controls and the regulatory mapping behind every customer visit — and you'll be accountable for it holding up under examination.
What you'll do
Build the operating documentation for our target operating model: 24/7 phygital service, three-shift operations, Branch App and Cash Desk, maker-checker controls, queue management and service standards.
Own a playbook of 40+ documents as the single source of truth for how branches run, and keep it current as systems, processes and regulation change.
Work across Compliance, Controls and Risk to keep every procedure anchored to its regulatory basis, and with HR and L&D to turn the playbook into training people can actually use.
What you'll own
Own the Branch Operations Playbook end to end — 40+ SOPs, policies, process manuals and role documentation — including structure, drafting, version control and review cycles, and retire legacy documents that pre-date the new operating model.
Align every operating document with the BSP MORB and other applicable regulation, including PDIC and AMLC: map each procedure to its regulatory basis, identify gaps and close them.
Build audit readiness into how branches operate, so evidence, logs and controls stay traceable and retrievable at any time.
Represent branch operations during BSP, PDIC and other agency examinations alongside Compliance, and drive branch-level findings through to closure.
Document and maintain the operating standards for the Salmon Engagement Hub, so operations there are sound and compliant.
Own operational readiness for new branch and hub launches, with the full documentation and training set in place and signed off before go-live.
Define and maintain service standards and quality assurance, run periodic playbook-compliance reviews, and make each opening repeatable against one documented standard.
What makes you a strong fit
8+ years in bank branch and cash operations in the Philippines, including at least one branch or network launch you personally took to go-live
3+ years with operating standards as your primary mandate — SOPs, process manuals and role documentation you authored and owned, not reviewed on the side
Deep working knowledge of the BSP MORB, with a track record of mapping branch procedures to specific provisions, finding the gaps and closing them
Direct experience in BSP and PDIC examinations: you have represented branch operations in front of examiners and driven findings to closure
End-to-end command of cash operations — cash desk, vault, limits, reconciliation and maker-checker controls — plus the requirements for ATM networks, banking licences and branch physical space
Documentation you can point to: SOP sets or playbooks you wrote that passed internal audit or regulatory review without material findings
