What you will do

1. Lifecycle Management: Own the end-to-end US onboarding and offboarding process, including contract execution and I-9 verification, ensuring a "day-one ready" experience for every new hire.

2. Payroll & Benefits Support: Act as the primary coordinator for US payroll data entry and benefits administration, partnering with external vendors to guarantee 100% accuracy and on-time delivery.

3. Visa & Immigration Coordination: Support our international talent by tracking visa statuses and coordinating with legal counsel for timely USCIS filings and renewals.

4. Process Optimization: Refine US-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to make our operations more scalable and "AI-ready."

5. Employee Support: Serve as the friendly go-to contact for US-based employees regarding payroll queries, policy clarifications, and general operational support.

 

Minimum Qualifications

1. Experience: 1–3 years of experience in HR operations, administrative coordination, or a similar detail-oriented role within a corporate environment.

2. US Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with US employment basics, including I-9 requirements, at-will employment, and general payroll cycles.

3. Detail Obsession: A proven track record of managing high-volume data entry or documentation with zero errors.

4. Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills, with the ability to explain complex HR processes to employees in a clear, friendly manner.

5. Adaptability: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-changing tech startup landscape.

 

Preferred Qualifications

1. Tech-Savvy: Experience using modern HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Rippling, or Deel) and a curiosity for using AI tools to automate repetitive tasks.

2. Visa Expertise: Prior exposure to US immigration types (H-1B, L-1, O-1) and the specific documentation required for each.

3. Multi-State Exposure: Basic understanding of the complexities of managing employees across different US states (Nexus).

4. Global Mindset: Experience working within a global team across different time zones (specifically connecting US and Asia-based leadership).
