Business Development Representative

 

PhaseV is a fast-growing, Series A startup applying AI/ML to optimize clinical development, and our GTM team is at the center of bringing that technology to the organizations shaping the future of clinical R&D. This is a foundational role on our Business Development team, working alongside our Business Development Directors, the VP of Business Development, Head of Alliance Management, and Head of Marketing. In this role, you will be the engine behind the team’s outreach and client materials. Your work will be critical in helping the BD team move faster and more efficiently while you build foundational skills of enterprise business development. As you grow, there's a pathway to a more senior role as the company scales.

What You’ll Do

• Execute cold outreach on behalf of BD Directors, helping build and fill the top of the pipeline
• Drive outreach and prospecting for upcoming industry conferences, helping the team land meetings with key prospects and manage scheduling end to end
• Assist with RFP and questionnaire responses from pharma partners, compiling prior answers, drafting first-pass responses, and keeping documentation organized and up to date
• Learn the fundamentals of prospecting and message tailoring by functional area, with the opportunity to take on greater account-level ownership as you grow in the role
• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and other teams to keep BD operations running smoothly

What You Bring

• 1-5 years of professional work experience within a sales or business development team, with an understanding of what it means to prospect and tailor outreach by audience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams at once
• A proactive, resourceful mindset. You should be comfortable figuring things and taking initiative

Preferred:

• Experience at AI/ML, RWE, or analytics-driven technology companies supporting clinical development.
• Background or demonstrated interest in the life sciences / pharma industry 
• Experience in a high volume outreach environment 
• Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools
