We are looking for a Programmatic Trading Manager to join our world class trading team. The Trading Manager position is at the heart of MiQ’s business, providing a unique link between commercial and analysis functions. The successful candidate will be empowered to manage a team of traders as well as directly support high-priority trading outcomes across a diverse portfolio.

 

What you’ll be doing

As a TM, your main responsibilities will include:

Coaching & Training Traders

• Leveraging your experience and the wider business to enhance the consistency and quality of Trading team deliverables.
• Run regular cadenced meetings with each managed Trader to review campaigns, with the dual goal of enhancing performance and monitoring delivery and margins.
• Bringing more commercial awareness into the Trading team
• Working closely with MiQ Management to ensure clear and timely communication on campaign, industry, and team opportunities and risks.
• Recruit and train world class trading talent, and provide continuous development for your team.

Campaign, Margin & Client Retention Management

• Ensure a high degree of client and campaign retention.
• Monitor and manage margin and delivery across your campaigns, and the campaigns managed by your team.
• Deliver excellent campaign performance and client success across a diverse portfolio of accounts.
• Manage workload and campaign distribution across each Trader.
• Lead troubleshooting and support on any client or technical issues which arise, providing expertise on new or intricate campaigns.
• Liaise with the Sales and Account Management teams, as well as relevant agencies, where necessary on campaign issues.

Support Process Invention, Deployment and Monitoring

• Test new products and features from our external partners and internal Product team.
• Ensure new and existing processes are deployed in the most efficient fashion and adhered to by all relevant stakeholders.
• Encourage team-wide adoption of new targeting tactics, optimisation methods and ways of working.
• Act as the voice of reason within your pod, while maintaining awareness beyond your pod, and help ensure new initiatives are adopted across the wider MiQ Trading team.
• Excellent task prioritization, stakeholder management, communication/ escalation

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Proven programmatic trading experience.
• Thorough understanding of the programmatic landscape and industry ecosystem.
• High degree of experience in at least one of  DV360, TTD or Yahoo.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in team management, coaching, and mentoring. 
• Desire to support and develop your team, providing opportunities for them to learn and grow.
• High level of organisation and conscientiousness.
• Desire to learn from other markets and the wider MiQ team.
• Alignment with MiQ's core values/culture.
• The ability to provide energy, drive and enthusiasm for your team.
