Company overview

LucidLink is the file streaming platform for large-file workflows. We give teams and tools instant access to data in the cloud, so work starts right away, anywhere. No downloads, no syncing, no VPNs. What began as a faster way to open huge media files is now a platform spanning streaming from existing storage, on-site acceleration, web and mobile access, and a developer layer that connects agents to the filespace, all with zero-knowledge security and enterprise governance built in. More than 4,000 companies — including Adobe, Spotify, Warner Bros, and Paramount — and 100,000 users in over 150 countries stream more than 100 petabytes with LucidLink, and the Television Academy has recognized us with an Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Award. Founded in 2016 by storage industry veterans, we are headquartered in San Francisco with an engineering office in Sofia, Bulgaria, and remote employees across North America, Europe and Australia.

About the role

Hi, I’m Radina, Director of Design at LucidLink. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with strong product thinking, a research-informed approach, and a clear focus on work that leads to better outcomes. This is a chance to help shape a category-defining product. On our team, craft, honesty, and real customer impact matter a lot.

We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable working across discovery and delivery — from understanding customer needs to designing clear, scalable experiences across web, desktop, and mobile. The work sits in a complex product space, with connected workflows, integrations, and technical depth that make the design challenges especially interesting. Experience or interest in AI-powered UX is a strong plus.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

You’ll Thrive Here If You Are…

Show Us Your Craft

Here’s what you can expect when you apply:

  1. Initial Interview
You’ll meet with someone from our People & Culture team. We’ll introduce you to LucidLink - our culture, product, and the way we work—and answer any initial questions you may have.

  2. Hiring Manager Interview
You’ll meet with the hiring manager for a structured interview focused on your past experience and achievements, to understand how you deliver results and approach key challenges.

  3. Design Interview
You’ll meet with the lead product designer. This conversation is about understanding your experience and what you’re looking for, as well as sharing more about our team and current challenges. Toward the end of the call, we’ll ask you to present a case study (30–45 min).

  4. Design Task
In this live session with our Design team, you’ll collaborate on a real-world design challenge involving ambiguity, trade-offs, and complexity. We’re particularly interested in your thinking process, prioritization, and how you use AI to support your work. You’ll receive multiple customer feedback in advance, and during the session, we’ll work together. Please note that this exercise is for evaluation purposes and will not be used in production.

  5. Review Session & Prototype w/Design team
Following the live whiteboard session, selected candidates will be invited to complete a short follow-up exercise. This includes evaluating an existing design template, improving it, and creating a quick, AI-assisted prototype within a defined timeframe and presenting it in a brief session/discussion with the Design team.

At LucidLink, AI fluency is a core professional competency. As part of our interview process, we'll explore how you currently use AI tools in your work and how you think about using them responsibly.
