The Role

You will lead execution and value creation behind Long Lake’s investments - owning transactions from diligence through close, then working alongside management teams to drive performance through operational improvements and AI-enabled transformation.

This role sits at the intersection of investing, operations, and technology - underwriting not just what a business is today, but what it can become when our AI platform and growth team are embedded within it.

What You'll Do

• Own core workstreams across the deal lifecycle: diligence, structuring, negotiation, financing, etc.

• Request and analyze data to distill key findings on the business and share with the broader team

• Evaluate business fundamentals including unit economics, customer behavior, pricing power, and cost structure to identify key value drivers and risks on an AI first world

• Build and underwrite detailed operating and valuation models, assessing both standalone performance and upside from operations and AI technology-driven improvements

• Partner with technology and operations teams at Long Lake and verticals to scope and quantify AI-enabled value creation opportunities pre-close—and execute them post-close

• Work directly with management teams to implement strategic initiatives, build reporting infrastructure, and drive change management

What Success Looks Like

• Leverage prior experience (at least 1-5 years) from a leading investment bank or private equity firm

• You take ownership of outcomes across both deal execution and post-close performance

• Transactions are executed with rigor, speed, and strong judgment across all phases of the deal lifecycle

• You translate complex analyses into simple, decisive recommendations that drive action internally and with counterparties

• You are the face of LLM with potential management team and current partner leadership teams. You can drive discussions without senior level support

• Diligence consistently identifies and highlights clear, actionable value creation opportunities and key risks

• You love AI and it is integral to how you do your work day to day
