Business Analyst

What we are looking for

We are looking for a Business Analyst / Technical Consultant specializing in systems and API integrations to join our Professional Services team.

In this role, you will act as the bridge between clients, business stakeholders, and technical delivery teams. You will lead discovery conversations, understand complex business processes and system architectures, and translate customer needs into clear technical specifications that development and implementation teams can successfully execute.

This is a highly versatile internal consulting role supporting integration and implementation projects. You will work with different clients, products, industries, and technical environments, so adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to create structure in complex situations will be essential.

You will not only gather requirements. You will help customers understand how their systems should connect, define data mappings and integration workflows, identify risks and dependencies, and ensure that solutions are properly documented, tested, and prepared for go-live.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead client-facing discovery sessions to understand business processes, existing system architectures, workflows, integration needs, and operational pain points.
• Elicit, analyze, and document functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for cloud-based software integrations.
• Translate complex customer requirements into clear technical specifications, user stories, process flows, and implementation documentation.
• Create detailed data-mapping documents defining source and target fields, transformation rules, validation logic, business rules, and exception scenarios.
• Work with REST APIs, web services, file-based integrations, ETL processes, FTP/SFTP, JSON, XML, CSV, and other data exchange methods.
• Guide clients and internal teams on API usage, data transformation, integration design, and implementation best practices.
• Collaborate closely with developers, solution architects, QA specialists, project managers, and product teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Identify technical risks, missing requirements, dependencies, assumptions, and scope gaps before they impact delivery.
• Support functional and integration testing by creating acceptance criteria, test scenarios, test cases, and validation plans.
• Use tools such as Postman to inspect API requests, responses, payloads, authentication, and error messages.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and help determine whether problems originate in the source system, integration layer, target platform, configuration, or underlying data.
• Ensure that technical documentation and delivery handoffs are complete, accurate, and understandable for both business and technical audiences.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining consistency, quality, and clear stakeholder communication.
• Help validate that integrations are production-ready before go-live.

What You Need to Succeed

Must-haves

• At least 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Integration Analyst, Technical Consultant, or similar role within software development or enterprise technology implementations.
• Proven experience working on complex system integrations involving cloud platforms, enterprise applications, or SaaS products.
• Hands-on knowledge of REST APIs, web services, integration workflows, and data exchange formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV.
• Experience with file-based integrations, ETL processes, FTP, or SFTP.
• Strong experience gathering requirements and translating business processes into detailed technical specifications.
• Practical experience creating data mappings, process flows, business rules, validation requirements, and exception-handling documentation.
• Participation in at least three or four complex integration or enterprise implementation projects from discovery through go-live.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to understand how data moves between multiple systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Confidence leading client conversations and explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively with developers, architects, QA teams, project managers, product teams, and client stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects, customers, and priorities simultaneously.
• Adaptability and curiosity when learning new products, industries, systems, and business domains.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience using Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices, or functional validation documentation.
• Background in manual or automated Quality Assurance.
• Experience with enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of procurement, Accounts Payable, Source-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay, Spend Management, or financial software processes.
• Experience integrating supplier, purchase order, invoice, payment, accounting, or general ledger data.
• Familiarity with authentication methods such as OAuth, bearer tokens, API keys, or basic authentication.
• Previous experience working in Professional Services, consulting, implementation, or customer-facing SaaS environments.
