We're looking for an Account Executive to join our Perth team and drive new data and analytics consulting revenue with mid-market and enterprise clients across Western Australia.  This is a quota-carrying, full-cycle role focused on new logo acquisition and account expansion covering industries such as state government, financial services, mining, retail and manufacturing.  You’ll partner with a skilled team of data consultants to shape the right solution for each client, not just sell a product.    

Please be advised that this role is required to be located in the Perth, Australia InterWorks office. Remote work or telecommuting arrangements outside of this jurisdiction are not permissible for this position.  

Base salary $130,000-$150,000 AUD  Final compensation is commensurate with experience and performance.

 

What You'll Do  

• Own the full sales cycle, from outbound prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation and close, for mid-market and enterprise accounts in your territory. 

• Build and manage a qualified pipeline to meet and exceed an annual quota on data and analytics consulting services. 

• Lead multi-stakeholder sales cycles with technical and business buyers, including C-level and VP-level executives. 

• Act as an advisor to prospective clients, running consultative conversations that uncover business challenges, technical constraints and desired outcomes. 

• Work with solutions architects and consulting teams to shape, propose and position InterWorks' data and analytics solutions and services. 

• Negotiate commercial terms, structure services engagements and manage procurement and legal processes through to signature. 

• Develop long-term client relationships that drive repeat business, account expansion and referrals. 

• Represent InterWorks through outbound outreach, partner channels, referrals and industry events to create and progress new opportunities. 

• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and account plans in Salesforce, with clear documentation of activities and next steps.  

 

What You'll Need  

Must-Haves  

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience in technology, SaaS or consulting services. 

• 3+ years in a quota-carrying Account Executive role (not SDR/BDR). 

• A track record of meeting or exceeding annual quota. 

• Experience closing deals of at least $50,000-$100,000+ ACV or services value. 

• Experience selling into mid-market or enterprise accounts with multiple stakeholders and complex decision processes. 

• Strong discovery and qualification skills, with the ability to tie solutions directly to client business outcomes. 

• Strong written and oral communication skills, with a consultative, outcome-focused selling style. 

• Business and technical acumen, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into clear business value. 

• Ability to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while delivering accurate forecasts to sales leadership. 

• Curiosity, resilience and a collaborative attitude, with the attention to detail to work well under pressure. 

 

What We'd Like You to Have  

• Experience selling data, analytics, BI or cloud solutions. 

• Experience working with or selling around Snowflake and modern data platforms. 

• Prior experience in a consultancy or professional services environment. 

• Experience navigating procurement, legal and contracting processes for professional services deals. 

• Comfort working cross-functionally with architects, consultants and delivery teams to shape and scope engagements.
