GTM Engineer

About the Role

This is a founding GTM hire at an early-stage AI infrastructure company building the leading platform for reinforcement learning (RL) environments, evaluation, and post-training data. The platform is used by ML engineers, AI researchers, and engineering leaders — and it resonates deeply with that audience. Now it's time to find and sell to them at scale.

As a GTM Engineer, you'll sit at the intersection of engineering and revenue. You'll own the outbound pipeline end-to-end, build automated workflows using AI tooling, and craft messaging that technical buyers actually respond to. You'll work directly with the founding team to define and scale the go-to-market playbook from the ground up — this is a high-ownership, high-impact role for someone who builds, not just executes.

What You'll Do

• Own the outbound pipeline end-to-end — from targeting and enrichment to outreach, follow-up, and meeting booking.

• Build and maintain GTM workflows including email sequencing, CRM automation, lead scoring, and custom internal tooling.

• Use AI tools aggressively to multiply your output: automated scrapers, workflow automation, and bespoke tooling.

• Develop and iterate on messaging that resonates with ML engineers, AI researchers, and engineering leaders.

• Quickly learn prospect businesses and industries to understand their pain points, workflows, and use cases.

• Track pipeline metrics and optimize conversion at every stage of the funnel.

• Collaborate with founders to continuously refine and scale the GTM playbook as the company grows.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Demonstrated ability to build and run a GTM motion with real, measurable results — and a track record of closing deals.

• Strong technical foundation, whether from a CS/engineering background or hands-on side projects and vibe-coding experience.

• Deep familiarity with GTM tooling and a history of building outbound systems using tools like Clay, Apollo, or custom automation.

• Experience selling developer tools, infrastructure, or ML/AI products to technical buyers.

• Strong written communication skills — the kind that technical people actually respond to.

• Early-stage startup experience and the ability to thrive independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

• Evidence of creative, high-leverage approaches to pipeline generation.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with reinforcement learning concepts, including environments, evals, and benchmarks.

• Prior experience as an engineer-to-GTM hybrid or similar crossover role.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year

• Visa sponsorship: Available

This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA. Candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
