Credit Analyst

Position Overview:

As a Credit Analyst, you will support the assessment, approval, and activation of customer credit facilities across BRKZ's portfolio. Working closely with the Credit Manager, you will analyze credit applications, perform verification and due diligence, and prepare well-supported credit recommendations in line with company policies. This role offers the opportunity to develop strong credit risk and underwriting skills while contributing to efficient, high-quality credit decisions.

What You will do (Responsibilities) :

• Assess the creditworthiness of customers using company information, credit bureau reports, alternative data, and AI-assisted scoring models to develop clear, well-supported credit recommendations.
• Review and verify credit applications and supporting documentation, sourcing additional information from internal systems, public records, and approved third-party sources where required.
• Recommend appropriate credit limits, payment terms, and risk mitigants in line with company policies and risk appetite.
• Prepare credit recommendations for approval and monitor applications through to final decision.
• Complete pre-activation verification checks, ensure all approval conditions and documentation requirements are met, and activate approved credit facilities.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and support periodic reviews of existing credit facilities.

Who You are (Qualifications) : 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, commercial risk, or a similar analytical role; experience in construction, trade credit, or financial services is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess financial and non-financial information to support credit recommendations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing applications, documentation, and risk information.
• Ability to work with reporting tools and AI-assisted credit scoring solutions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple applications and meet turnaround time targets.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
