SVP, Marketing & Communications
Position Overview
BGBx is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and entrepreneurial Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications to lead the agency's marketing strategy and elevate the BGBx brand.
Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this newly created role will shape how BGBx shows up in the marketplace by leading integrated marketing and communications initiatives that increase visibility, strengthen client engagement, and support agency growth. This leader will partner closely with Business Development and executive leadership to amplify BGBx's consulting and communications expertise, drive thought leadership, and reinforce our position as a leading healthcare consulting and communications partner.
What You'll Do
Brand & Marketing Strategy
- Develop and lead BGBx's integrated marketing and communications strategy.
- Strengthen the agency's brand, positioning, and presence across all channels.
- Ensure consistent messaging and a cohesive brand experience across external communications that reflects BGBx's integrated consulting and communications capabilities.
Thought Leadership & Visibility
- Drive thought leadership through content, executive visibility, speaking engagements, awards, and industry events.
- Partner with agency leaders to develop compelling content that showcases BGBx's expertise and differentiators.
- Identify new opportunities to elevate the agency's reputation within the healthcare consulting and marketing industry.
Digital Marketing & Communications
- Oversee the agency website, social media, email communications, and other digital marketing initiatives.
- Develop marketing campaigns that increase awareness and engagement among prospective clients and industry audiences.
- Measure marketing performance and recommend strategies to optimize impact.
Agency Growth & Client Engagement
- Partner with Business Development to develop marketing programs, capabilities materials, case studies, and communications that support new business efforts.
- Create marketing initiatives that strengthen relationships with existing clients and highlight the breadth of BGBx's consulting and communications capabilities.
- Collaborate across Client Services, Strategy, Creative, Medical, Consulting, and Executive Leadership to bring integrated initiatives to life.
What You'll Bring
- 12+ years of marketing and communications leadership experience within a healthcare communications agency, pharmaceutical marketing agency, healthcare consulting firm, or related professional services organization.
- Demonstrated success building integrated marketing strategies that elevate brand visibility and support agency growth.
- Deep understanding of the healthcare consulting, communications, and agency business landscape.
- Exceptional storytelling, writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience leading thought leadership, content strategy, digital marketing, and brand initiatives for consulting and/or professional services organizations.
- A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, relationship building, and continuous improvement.

Salary Range: $200,000 - $240,000 + incentive compensation
BGBx is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York City metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
